7th - Well thats it, the last gig for 2014 and what a cracker! Our thanks
to George, Dave and staff at the George and Dragon for making us so welcome
and it looks like everyone had a good time. Due to a busy schedule we will
be unable to play there in 2015, but like Arnie, we'll be back in 2016!
November 2014
23rd - It's getting close to the final gig of the year for Hush, but on
Saturday we pitched up at The Anchor in Gloucester Road, Bristol a new venue
for the band and the penultimate gig of 2014. Unfortunatly not only was there
footie on, but Rugby as well. Good if you want to watch, but a pain if you
have to fight your way through with two tons of equipment. However we did
it. After a breif soundcheck and refreshment break we were up and running.
Everyone looks like they enjoyed it from where we were. Our thanks to Steve
and staff for making us welcome and we are sorry, but due to the diary being
basically full for 2015, it will probably be 2016 when we will next visit,
but you never know!
9th - It's been nearly a year since we were at the Queen's Tap in Swindon,
and the band were more than ready for another evening there. We certainly
had a good time and from the reaction of everyone it seems as though you did
too. Thanks to those who came along for an enjoyable evening.
2nd - After a months break from gigging due to unforeseen circumstances,
the band desended on the Crown and Horseshoe in Oldland Common. Its a fair
few years since the last time we played there, September 2009 to be precise,
but the landlord has been asking for us to return, so how could we refuse.
A few new numbers were thrown in for reaction and it all went rather well.
Our thanks to Craig and Paula for making us welcome and also thanks for the
stand-in roadie who helped bring the gear in at the beginning of the evening.
September 2014
29th - Unfortuntaley due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had
to cancel the gig at the Trout this weekend (4th Oct) Our apologies to all.
26th - we have just learnt that the Kingshill Inn in Dursley has closed,
so that gig has been cancelled. Our apologies if you were going to pop along.
20th - Well that was a fun-filled evening at the Watchfield Inn. After watching
the support band Lonesome Crow (check them out at http://www.lonesomecrow.co.uk
) do their hour and a half, we then had 30 minutes in which they had to clear
the stage and us to set up, while a raffle was in progress. This must have
been the fastest we have ever set up. In all approx 40 minutes and it all
worked. No check song, but straight in to Hush. Thats Rock and Roll. Thanks
to Dawn and Gemma of the W.Y.SI.W.Y.G RC for inviting us, and the Landlord,
Mum and staff at the Watchfield Inn for making us welcome.
18th - We have at last loaded the recordings from J&J Studios. They
can be found in the Music section of the website. Have a listen and let us
know whay you think.
August 2014
15th - Our utmost apologies to Dawn and Staff at the Queens Tap, also to
anyone who was travelling to hear us, but we have had to cancel our gig there
this Saturday due to ill health. We will be back there on the 8th November
13th - On the 10th, the band set up in J&J Studio's in Bristol, to get
some tracks laid down to represent the band as it is today. Four songs were
recorded and we feel they show the band off quite well. We are hopeing to
load these onto the site shortly. Our thanks to Tom at the studio for doing
such a good job.
3rd- It started off a bit thin in the ground, but the Reckless filled up
nicely and I think everyone who was there had a great night - the band certainly
did! Thanks to one and all for sticking around and having a good time with
us.
July 2014
23rd - Our apologies , but the gig this weekend at the George and Dragon
in Winterbourne has had to be cancelled, due to circumstances beyond our control.
If you were going to pop along and see us, fear not we will be playing there
on December 6th 2014,
13th - Saturday was a welcome return by the band to Scally's on the 12th.
With all the bikes there, Jon wished he had brought his, but then how would
his equipment arrive. A couple of new numbers the band had been working on
were aired and got a good response. As usual our thanks to Kev, Dawn and staff
for making us welcome.
On the bands personal front, our congratulations to Sarah and Chris who
are expecting their second child at the end of the year. Also Ant has become
engaged to Jill and has completed the move to Bristol, so we are now all the
same area, ish!!
March 2014
2nd - Well, that was an entertaining evening at the Trout. Thanks to all those who came along and behaved!
February 2014
24th - Saturday saw Hush at yet another new venue in the reptilian form of
Winterbourne's George & Dragon. And what a terrific night we all had. A big
thanks to everyone who came to enjoy the evenings jolly - we hope to see you
again later in the year!
2nd - Despite the weather the band was well received in Bridgewater.
And with the wet weather a precedence looks to have been set. We can always
hope for a drier time in Winterbourne on the 22nd!
January 2014
19th - The first gig of the year saw a new venue complete with a wet evening.
Once we had figured out where everything was going we eased into the proceedings
and had a good night. Big thanks to the Old Mailhouse for making us welcome.
