9th - Well there you go, another year of public gigs comes to a end with one
at a new venue for the band, the Queens Tap in Swindon. For us it was a good gig,
lots of room to set up, just a shame there wern't a few more people there, but
being a bit close to Christmas, that may have been a reason. But those present
seemed to enjoy it. Our thanks to the Swindon Posse and Donna and staff for
making us welcome.
From all the band have a Merry Christmas and Loud New Year and in 2014 help
us celebrate 10 years of the formation of Hush!
10th - Last night saw a return to the Reckless Engineer. What an absolute cracker! Our
thanks for everyone who came along to see us, we hope you enjoyed it as much
as the band did.
The next gig see's the band return to Swindon, but at a new venue for us
at the Queens Tap. Why not pop along and help us raise the roof a few inches?
8th - Unfortunately our gig at the Tap and Barrel at Bedminster on the 14th
December has had to be cancelled (see gigs page) due the pubs closure on that
day. Our thanks to Mike and staff for always making us welcome and good luck
to wherever they go next.
19th - Back to the Railway at Radstock, where a couple of new numbers got
an airing. Thank you to everyone who braved the elements to see us.
9th - Finally the band are back at it with Ant's return gig at the Trout in
Keynsham. As always we had a blast and the audience did to. Welcome back
27th - With bringing Ant back up to speed, gig wise Hush has been off the
road so we can get everything where we want it. Plus we are intergrating a
few new numbers in to freshen it all up. With The Trout fast approaching,
we are are all looking forward to get back in front of an audience and playing
live. Also on the gig front, with the approach of autumn the gig hunt starts,
so the 2014 gig list will soon startup, so watch this space!
30th - Its been a quiet month for the band with members having holidays
and breaks, but rehearsals are coming along well and working up the set for
the Trout and beyond. A new gig has been picked up at the Railway in Radstock
to replace the cancelled one in June. The last one was fun so we are looking
foward to playing there again.
28th - Following his departure from the band last year, Thursdays evening
rehearsal saw the return of Ant Meade to the unit. Due to a job relocation,
Ant had to relinquish his position of vocalist, but due to there being another
relocation Ant is now looking to move back to the Bristol area and asked the
question if it were possible for him to return. After the rehearsal, it was
a resounding "of course you can come back!" Now the work starts...
28th - We have recently found out that The Barrel at Thornbury has closed,
so the two gigs that were planned have now been cancelled. Bit of a shame
as it looked it would have been a fun one to do , our apologies to anyone
in that area who was planning to go there. If you have a venue you would like
to see us play, drop us the contact details and we will see what we can do.
22nd - Following the sad news of the passing of Ray Manzerak of The Doors,
we have now heard of the death of Trevor Bolder of Uriah Heep. Both of these
guys are legends and inspiration, and will be sorely missed. Our condolences
to family and friends.
21st - The hunt for our next vocalist continues. We have been holding auditions
as and when we can, but at this moment have found no-one that we feel is able
to fill the position. So if you think you are a budding Gillan, Coverdale,
Dio or Ozzy, e-mail or give us a call. However we have not been idle in this
downtime. Over the last couple of months, when not auditioning,
we have been trawling the music albums for more material to play and are now
six shy of 100 numbers that can be played in the set once we are up and running.
20th - Due to Simons departure and the possibility of integrating a new
vocalist into the bands line-up, we have made the decision to cancel the following
gigs, The Reckless Engineer on the 20th April and The Rising Sun on the 4th
May. Our apologies, but we have to make sure everything is correct before
putting the band back out on the road.
13th - Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond anyone's control,
Simon has relinquished his position as lead vocalist. He was only with us
a short time, but it was a lot of fun while it lasted. So yet again we play
"Hunt the Vox". So if you think you can fill the vacancy, please
use any of the info in the contacts page and lets see
9th -Back at the Tap and Barrel for what we thought was a great night. Thanks
to everyone who came along and made us welcome.
24th - We were back at the welcoming fishy place that is the Trout in Keynsham
for a great night. Thanks to everyone for a great night, especially the packed
29th - First off, our utmost apologies to anyone who came to see us at Scally's
on Saturday 26th and were disappointed after we only played our first set.
The reason for the early pack up was at the request of Scally's management.
At this time we are not exactly sure of the full reasons for this. If anyone
reading this has any comments, can they please send them to email@example.com
as we would be interested to hear them.
